Our natural wetting agent, BioActive Yucca, is extracted from Yucca Schidigera which grows in the extreme climates of Mexico. It is uniquely high in steroid saponins, making it both a biostimulant and a natural wetting agent. BioActive Yucca is specially formulated to mix with a wide array of products and is suitable for foliar, root zone and seed treatment applications. Saponins have an amphiphilic structure, in that they have a hydrophilic part and a lipophilic group. This enables saponins to reduce the surface tension of water, which enables a larger surface area of contact between the agent and the leaf. This reduction in surface water tension also greatly increases the effectiveness of water penetration through the soil profile. The use of different rates of our natural wetter can move surface water away from the playing surface in times of too much water, or move water to the root zone in times of drought stress. Additionally, the carbohydrate content of BioActive Yucca provides a slow-release food source for beneficial microbes, to assist with maintaining and developing the health of your root zone.
